His work has been supported by the Minnesota Regional Arts Council (MRAC), St. Paul Neighborhood Network (SPNN), and the Minnesota State Arts Board, with his latest documentary Do You Think I’m Weird? selected for the 2025 Gotham Week Project Market.
His short film Seeing Each Other, Seeing Things has screened at the 21st Tucson Film Festival (2025), YoFi Fest (2025), DC Independent Film Forum (2026), LA International Film Festival (2026), and it won Most Cinematic at Queering Cinema in Minneapolis. Upcoming screenings to be announced.
Ben’s short film Space Rock had it’s premiere at Midwest Weirdfest in Eau Claire WI early March and East Coast premiere at the Boston Underground Film Festival and will play next at Cinetopia Film Festival in Ann Arbor , MI May 16th.

A personal, visually-driven documentary exploring schizophrenia, identity, and what it means to be “normal.”
Ben’s feature documentary Do You Think I’m Weird? was recently selected for the 2025 Gotham Week Project Market, one of the most competitive and prestigious documentary industry showcases in the country. The film explores identity, mental illness, and the desire to be understood.
